INTRODUCTION

 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Team bonding is the method of transforming a community of individual workers into an integrated team, which is a group of individuals who are united to work together interdependently and cooperatively to fulfill the demands of their clients by achieving their purpose and objective.It will involve the everyday contact that workers have while working together to complete the tasks of their careers. It can also provide organized tasks and drills that workers can conduct, or administrators can contract out facilitation to an external resource with the proper budget and priorities.In recent years, the term "team bonding" has become a buzzword with a variety of connotations. Team bonding exercises are essential for corporate growth not only for the immediate experience of the tasks undertaken by the team, but also for the community expertise, coordination, and bonding that arise. The game, whether it's an obstacle course or the Chocolate challenge, is only a way to an end: a high-impact learning opportunity. Team-building activities provide people with practical opportunities that enable them to commit to shared goals.The successes of  most organization depends solely on the ability of individuals to build effective teams.The primary objectives of team bonding are to increase efficiency and morale. Employees are sent out of the workplace to help groups knock down political and personal walls, reduce obstacles, and have fun. Since the advantages of team-bonding programs are so important, many companies have integrated team-bonding techniques into their regular training curriculum.he term "committee" is often used to characterize groups that collaborate over time to complete a mission and then disband (e.g., cross-functional teams) or to describe a group that functions exclusively as a team, with the position of leader rotating (self-directed work teams).The term "Team" is often used to characterize groups that collaborate over time to complete a mission and then disband (e.g., cross-functional teams) or to describe a group that functions exclusively as a team, with the position of leader rotating (self-directed work teams).

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

Every organisation, big or small, strives for competitiveness in order to gain success and retain a valuable reputation in today's field of corporate contests, and it is the desire of companies to see the input they use (resources) and the production they produce.workers in modern workplaces are often organized into teams so that groups of workers with similar expertise can cooperate and tackle challenges more effectively. Employers can weigh factors other than individual skills during the recruiting process, such as how well new employees would integrate into their current work teams. A variety of issues can arise in teams, impeding confidence and successful coordination.This research will aid in the development of a more systematic and modern approach to the management of individuals and their attributes, which will result in the long-term enhancement of the organization's overall success and the resolution of performance issues.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

The primary objective of this study is to :

1. To find out if team bonding  increases the level of team productivity in an organization.

2. To determine if team bonding enhances better working relationships in an organization.

3. To investigate if team bonding foster creativity and improves communication in an organization.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

1) How does team bonding increase the level of team productivity in an organization ?

3) How does team bonding foster creativity and improves communication amongst workers in organization?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study will be of great relevance to both public and private organizations on the need of team bonding as an influence on team productivity in an establishment and it will help in understanding strength,weaknesses and interest amongst employers and employees in an organization.

SCOPE OF STUDY

The idea of this research is to find out how team bonding influences team productivity in an organization.

LIMITATION OF STUDY

Finance was a challenge during the course of this study, availability of materials and time constraint were also major challenges encountered while carrying out this study.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

TEAM BONDING: The activity or practice of attempting to enhance the efficacy, cohesiveness, and morale of a group of people (typically in sport or the workplace), especially by exercises or events designed to enhance commitment and encourage cooperation; the result is improved teamwork or morale in a group of people.

PRODUCTIVITY: It is an average measure of the efficiency of production. It can be expressed as the ratio of output to inputs used in the production process, i.e. output per unit of input

ORGANIZATION: An organization, or group, is a person, corporation, institution, or association that consists of one or more persons and serves a specific purpose.
