This study is set to examine the effect of banditry on farming system in Nigeria.it will examine the different forms of banditry attacks on farming communities. It will determine the extent to which banditry affects farming system in Nigeria.

The need to overcome the challenges associated with the insufficiency of food production and consumption in Nigeria has been a recurring issue manifesting since independence in 1960.

The findings of this research work will undoubtedly provide the much needed information to government organizations, ministry of agriculture and academia.

This study will be of great relevance to students, researchers, and agricultural science teachers across Nigeria as the study will serve as a source of information for them for research and study purposes.

The research will add to the present body of knowledge in this field and will also act as a resource for academics, researchers, and students interested in conducting future research on this or a similar topic.

This research will add value to existing research by investigating the perceptions of beneficiaries about the nature of the subsidy programme and its implication on the availability, accessibility and affordability of subsidized fertilizer.

The value and significance of appropriate and timely accessible information in the life and direction of any organization cannot be over stressed, since diligent and objective observation have demonstrated that no individual or organization can achieve its objectives while functioning in a vacuum.
